Designed to suit Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution CN9A CP9A Evo 4 5 6 TME and made out of 6mm 304 stainless steel.

If you have changed your exhaust manifold to an aftermarket one that does not utilize the factory secondary air supply valve (SAS) and do not want to remove all of the other components this plate will block off the exposed internals of the valve to stop water and debris from entering while giving it a clean finished look.

Choice of blanking plate by itself or with a genuine Mitsubishi gasket included (MR340129)

The factory SAS system on the Evo 4-TME is NOT an exhaust gas re-circulation (EGR) like on the later 7-9 which are used for emission control, the SAS system injects air INTO the exhaust manifold under ECU controlled conditions ("Extreme driving") to help turbo response on gear changes.

It is also recommended to disconnect the vacuum supply hose from the system so the valve does not operate entirely but still leaves the solenoid connected to the ECU.

The vacuum supply hose is located on the rear of the intake plenum, either block the fitting or use as a supply for boost gauge/map sensor/etc.
